Knitting pattern for Save the yarn Sweater by Katrine Hannibal

An oversized sweater that sparks imagination and the desire to get started right away! The "Save the yarn" sweater is worked with 3-4 strands of yarn, creating beautiful color transitions as you diligently switch colors in your silk mohair. Silk mohair scraps as short as 15-25 m / 17-22 yrds can be used. The more colors you work with, the deeper and more inspiring the effect becomes.

A scrap sweater can take on many different expressions depending on the colors you have available and how you combine them and the pictures on this page are for inspiration only, as no two scrap sweaters will be the same!

The sweater is worked top-down with a slightly different raglan style, ensuring a good fit. You can easily customize the lengths of the body and sleeves. Please read the section on color composition and consider making a swatch to test the color transitions before casting on. The sweater is designed to be oversized with approx 20-25 cm / 7.9-9.8 inches of positive ease, and the length is short.
