Knitting pattern for Novice sweater by PetiteKnit, a beautiful and simple sweater designed for new knitters. The knitting pattern is very elaborate and easy to follow.
We made Novice in two different yarn kits; either in Önling No 1, 75% merino wool and 25% angora and 2 threads of Silk Mohair, or in Önling No 2, 100% merino wool and 2 threads of Silk Mohair.

You can only rely on the measurements in the pattern if you are able to achieve the correct gauge.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL are intended to fit a bust measurement of approximately 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 cm. The Novice Sweater is meant to have a loose fit (positive ease) of 5-10 cm. This means that if your bust circumference is 90 cm (measure yourself with a measuring tape), you should knit a size S that has a bust of 98 cm.

Bust circumference: 91 (98) 103 (109) 116 cm.
Total length: Measured mid back including neckband: 54 (55) 57 (60) 62 cm.
Gauge: 16 stitches x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 6 mm needles.
Suggested needle sizes: 5.5 mm and 6 mm / 40 and 60 cm circular needles, 5.5 mm and 6 mm / 80-100 cm circular needles, 5.5 mm double pointed needles.

by Canard, 72% Kidmohair, 28% Mulberry Silk, 25 g = 210 meter.
NOTE: Knit with 2 strand of Önling No 1 or No 2, and 2 strands of Silk Mohair throughout the work.
