Knitting pattern for Becca, a V-neck sweater in stockinette stich with sea-shell hole pattern at the hem and sleeves. Becca is made in Isager Alpaca 2, a lovely yarn made from 50% alpaca and 50% wool.

Sleeve lengthfrom underarm: 46 cm / 18 inches.

Materials:

Two strands are held together throughout the project.

Recommended circular needle and double-pointed needles size 3,5 mm, 4,5 and 5,5 mm / US 4, 7 and 9.

2 stitch markers.

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in stockinette stitch and pattern on a 4,5 mm / US7 circular needle 4,5 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

NOTE: It is important to maintain the same gauge in stockinette stich and pattern. For some that would mean adjusting the needle size when knitting the pattern to maintain the gauge.

Directions for knitting
The sweater is worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round to the armholes. Then the work is split into front and back and each part is finished separately.
The sleeves are worked in the round to the armholes, where the work is split and the sleeve cap is worked back and forth.
